When trying to pick spring bulbs, look to your living space for inspiration. Deanna Kizis – July 29, 2021
Tell me if this rings a bell: Labor Day is in sight, and you want to plant some spring bulbs in the fall. So, you click on your favorite bulb purveyorâs website and are hit in the kisser with a riot of colorâeaster-egg-yellow narcissus,
Legally Blonde-pink lilies, electric-blue irises and lipstick-red tulips that look like they flew off Angelina Jolieâs lips and into a flower bed. Dazzled, you start adding to cart. Purple? Why not? Blue? Love you. Yellow? Hello! But the next thing you know, spring arrives and your flower bed looks like an erupted bag of Skittles.

The queen of the garden is here to tell us all how she gets down and dirty on her farm. Deanna Kizis – July 14, 2021
At 79, Martha Stewart is not the on-screen personality she once was. Sheâs a woman who knows exactly who she is and feels free to say whatever she likes, thank you very much.
Thatâs what makes her new show, aptly called Martha Gets Down and Dirty, so refreshing. She talks about rooster nookie. She cracks jokes about a, ahem, âseed vibratorââapparently, it keeps tiny seeds from clumpingâand she instructs viewers to make a basil chiffonade by rolling it âlike a joint.â (She says she learned that from her buddy Snoop Dogg.)
