Jeri Barak appointed as Associate Director of the Wisconsin Experiment Station – eCALS

Jeri Barak, a professor in the department of plant pathology, recently accepted a two-year appointment from Dean Kate VandenBosch as the associate director of the Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station (WAES). WAES is the official designation of the college as the state of Wisconsin’s federally-funded, university-based agricultural research program. Each state in the U.S. has at least one agricultural program that receives this designation, which allows CALS to receive federal Hatch Act multi-state agricultural research funding.
This appointment is for a two-year term, reporting to Dean VandenBosch, the director of WAES. VandenBosch created this new administrative position following the retirement announcement of Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education Bill Barker. ....

Every other week, we will feature your favorite things about your current workspace and/or exciting updates about your work. Do you want to share a photo of a pet that often joins your virtual meetings, the great view that your remote office provides, a glimpse into your field or lab work? Two virtual CALS Coffees scheduled for spring semester – eCALS

We will continue to hold our CALS Coffees virtually for the spring semester. These virtual gatherings are an opportunity to meet informally with Dean VandenBosch and a small group of your colleagues. We want to give you the chance to get to know each other and ask questions.
Attendance for the virtual events will be capped so that everyone can introduce themselves and have a conversation. Please fill out this survey to select the date of the event you wish to participate in. Participation will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis, but we will maintain a waitlist in the event of a cancellation.
