Ivy Tech, Indiana State University Announce Transfer Agreement For Engineering Program

Ivy Tech’s engineering program provides a foundation in science, mathematics, and engineering.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana State University and Ivy Tech Community College have entered into a transfer agreement creating a seamless process for Ivy Tech engineering graduates to move into ISU’s program. 
“We are pleased to partner with Ivy Tech to provide an additional pathway for interested Hoosiers to become engineers the creative problem solvers and builders of our state,” said Nesli Alp, ISU’s Dean of the College of Technology.
Ivy Tech’s engineering program provides a foundation in science, mathematics, and engineering for electrical, mechanical, civil, computer or other engineering.  ....

ISU receives 3 gifts, totaling $600,000

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Indiana State University announced Friday it had received three gifts totaling $600,000 from both several alumni and parents of current and recent students.
One came from the McKee family, whose connection to ISU spans three generations and nine decades, who donated $250,000 in support of the President’s Scholars program. In recognition of the gift, ISU’s Board of Trustees on Friday approved the naming of the McKee Family Heritage Lounge in Tirey Hall.
“The McKee family’s connection to Indiana State University is special,” ISU President Deborah J. Curtis said. “This family has made an impressive mark at ISU, and the naming of the McKee Family Heritage Lounge is a fitting tribute recognizing their generous commitment to grow opportunities for students in the President’s Scholars program.”   ....

ISU Trustees approve naming of North American Lighting Student Success Center

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Indiana State University’s Board of Trustees on Friday approved the naming in perpetuity of the North American Lighting Student Success Center in the College of Technology.  
The space, located on the first floor of the John T. Myers Technology Center, connects students with campus resources, facilitates tutoring, and serves as home for career-readiness initiatives within the college.  
“The support we receive for our corporate partners is an investment in our university, our students, and the entire community,” said Andrea Angel, Vice President of University Advancement and CEO of the ISU Foundation.  “We would like to thank North American Lighting for their bold vision and leadership to support ISU programs that foster connections and opportunities right here in the Wabash Valley.”   ....
