This year marks the 51st anniversary of Earth Day, and while national events will be held virtually again because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some local things happening to celebrate and move on the group s theme this year: Restore Our Earth.
Captain Jack Peterson Dog Park, 111 Greenwood Street in New Bedford will host a clean up of the park on Saturday, April 24 beginning at 10 a.m. Rain date is Sunday. Volunteers with collect rubbish in and around the park as well doing some weeding. Feel free to bring garden tools.
