02:28 EDT, 15 January 2021 47 shares A makeshift memorial set up at the scene where two brothers were killed in a horrific crash has been destroyed by fire, much to the sadness of their father. Fire crews arrived at Warne Street in Wellington, in central western NSW, about 1pm on Friday after reports the memorial to Sheldon, 6, and Shane Shorey, 7, was alight. The two young boys died last Tuesday after allegedly being rundown by unlicensed driver Jacob Donn, 25. Photos showed flames roaring from the memorial, before locals rushed to extinguish it. NSW Police were called to memorial site but don t believe the blaze is suspicious and initial indications suggest it may have been caused by a candle. ....

Jacob Steven Donn sobbed as he was refused bail in Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday, a week after the car he was allegedly driving hit Sheldon, 6, and Shane Shorey, 7, on Warne Street in Wellington, in the NSW central west. Donn, 25, allegedly fled the scene following the crash, which also saw Shaylene Frail, 34, the mother of the two boys, suffer spinal injuries, and a family friend lose a leg. ....
