Copperas Cove High Schoolâs Dawghouse Theaterâs rendition of âSteel Magnoliasâ captured multiple awards at the UIL one-act play contest this year. Now, audience-goers will get to enjoy the production on the Lea Ledger Auditorium stage this weekend. Shows will be at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday. Admission is $3 per person, and masks and social distancing are required. CCHS senior Parker Alexis Reed plays the role of MâLynn and was named to the all-star cast in the UIL competition. âAs a senior, this show will always hold a special place in my heart. Throughout my high school theatre career, I have had the opportunity to play many different roles, but MâLynn has been my most emotionally challenging,â Reed said. âI feel the close relationships between the ladies in âSteel Magnoliasâ mirror the relationships we have in our theater department.â ....
