What a powerful title, right . Each word of the title has power within its own self, and i think that you will see that illuminated today during the conversation that karen will have with barbara. Im marjorie san, im manager director at ascend at the as spend institute and its my pleasure to step in for my boss, ann mosley, the executive director of asend and also a Vice President at the as spend institute. Incorporate cspan programs in their teaching. D. C. Join us in washington, for four weeks in july to develop new teaching materials. They also help lead cspans summer educators conference. Tell us about your school and your students. I am fortunate to be able to that ispopulation almost entirely first generation americans. Most of my students are bilingual coming into their english language skills. I get to take a group of students who really want to learn, immigrant children love learning. They see immigration as their way out. Theres their parents are super involved. I get to teach them about World History and about government and to help them see their place within this country that sometimes does not always see them as a part of it. About the recent mass shooting in el paso. Mr. Orourke announced he will continue his run for the democratic president ial nomination in 2020. From earlier today, this is just over 35 minutes. [marching band playing in distance] [crowd talking] mr. Orourke good morning. Buenos dias. Isnt it beautiful to hear the el paso high band practicing behind us . We may hear the strains of the next song coming through over the course of this conversation but i was just thinking about the fact that charlotte and i raised by melissa and pat and , our sister aaron grew up four blocks from here and when i would walk to el paso high i would walk through this park, climb over this wall and make my way to the side of this mountain and see chris and jim and robert and our friends at el paso high, and its definitely a part of who i am.
