Deftones are doing their part for those affected by coronavirus. The band has matched the proceeds from their “Adopt-A-Dot” fundraising campaign, totaling to over $100K for COVID-19 relief.
Before the release of their latest album “Ohms,” Deftones launched the fundraiser allowing fans to “adopt” one of the 13,000 dots on the album’s cover art by making a charitable donation. The band ended up raising $52,500 from the fundraiser, which will go to the University of California at Davis Children’s Hospital.

Travis Credit Union continues holiday giving programs amid pandemic
VACAVILLE Although the novel coronavirus pandemic has changed how Travis Credit Union gives back to the community this holiday season, it hasn’t affected the level of support and commitment to ensure programs partnered with for years are still provided for and championed.
The credit union reached out to the community through many different programs, including participation in the Children’s Miracle Network Holiday Stocking Campaign, the Travis Air Force Base Festival of Trees Auction and Christmas Wish 2020, among others.
“Financial wellness is at the heart of everything we do,” said Barry Nelson, president and CEO of Travis Credit Union, in a press release. “We are proud to participate in giving back through these programs to help our members, neighbors and community make the most of the holiday season.” ....

With the holiday season upon us and the annual Davis Children’s Nutcracker canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Davis will be hosting several activities to honor this classic local tradition.
Starting Dec. 7 and continuing throughout the month, the city will be “Celebrating the Spirit of Nutcracker.” Families and fans will be able to participate in a variety of activities from the comfort of their homes as we celebrate what would have been the 44th annual production. Activities will include:
