You create this very distorted memory of the warrior leaving out emancipation, leading out africanamericans and you are making this all about white people. Thats what they want. Thats ultimately what is important to them, is reestablishing the racial order that has been destroyed by emancipation. He is the author or editor of various books, including shifting grounds, nationalism and the american south, which won the British Association for american studies but prize, the book prize the jefferson , davis award for the museum of the confederacy, and the albert lee sturm award. His work has appeared in journals such as the journal of southern history and the journal of the civil war era. Among his Research Research project are the South Carolina cosman who achieved notoriety by caning senator Charles Sumner on the floor of the senate in 1856.
