The Rutherford County Schools have announced plans to move forward with an employee salary study. Investigation Results in 4 Arrests and the recovery of 5 handguns and 2 Stolen Vehicles

An investigation by detectives in Nashville on Monday led to four arrests and the recovery of two stolen vehicles, five handguns, six key fobs, 3.7 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of marijuana, and digital scales. At least one of the stolen guns recovered, had been reported as stolen in Murfreesboro.

Former MTSU Employee accused of Stalking Woman on Campus and Impersonating Police Officer


A man who was arrested for allegedly stalking a woman on the MTSU campus is scheduled to appear in a Rutherford County Courtroom next month. Evidently, the suspect was an employee of the university when the stalking was reported to campus police.

Gas prices across Tennessee fell for the second week in a row - providing a bit of good news for the 945,000 Tennesseans expected to hit the road later this week for the Independence Day holiday. Today's state average is nearly nine cents less expensive than one week ago. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $4.51 which is 24 cents more expensive than one month ago and $1.67 more than one year ago.
