Hundreds of millimetres of rain have fallen on the West Kimberley as the first of two tropical lows passes over land, marking the best start to a wet season in several years and there s more on the way.

Figures from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) show north-west coastal locations inlcuding Cygnet Bay, Lombadina and Koolan Island all recorded more than 200mm over the past two days.
