Appointment of Dr. Noma Anderson as Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences


Dear UVM Faculty and Staff: I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Noma Anderson as dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Most recently, Dr. Anderson was the special adviser to University of Tennessee System president on diversity and inclusion. Before that she served as dean of the College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for six years. Under her leadership the college expanded its student body, developed a more student-centric culture, updated its curriculum and programs, significantly increased its external funding, and expanded its community outreach. Dr. Anderson is a past professor and chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Florida International University, where she also served as dean in the School of Health Sciences. Prior to that, Dr. Anderson was a chair for ten years and on the faculty for 16 years in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Howard Universi ....
