It’s fall here in Portland, traditionally the beginning of the holiday season, and this year we have even one more reason to celebrate. It’s the 100th birthday of Portland Youth Philharmonic, America’s longest-running youth orchestra, and certainly the first to turn 100!
November 9, 2023: Host Christa Wessel welcomes the Portland Youth Philharmonic and oboist Titus Underwood to the Roger O. Doyle performance studio. High School Senior and pianist Nolan Tu will perform with PYP and Musical Director David Hattner, sharing a preview of the orchestra’s upcoming 100th anniversary concert. Oboist Titus Underwood will be joined by pianist Maria.
