being here, great to have you in studio. robert, you talk about this in your book. can you paint a picture for us? what will it look like? what will happen for the next two years in this country if the republicans win back congress? the first things that will happen is that marjorie taylor greene told me, there s going to be a lot of investigation. so, you can expect the gop to take a kind of punitive form. it will be a party of payback. they will be stripping people of their committee assignments to weigh marjorie taylor greene and paul gosar were. they there will certainly be articles of impeachment advanced against biden, yeah, and perhaps some of his cabinet members. i think what will be more interesting is to see how the republicans deal with the debt ceiling and whether they will try to use social wedge issues attached to the debt ceiling to attract certain concessions from the president. kevin mccarthy did that of course when he was majority within 2011 and i
officially taken ownership of twitter, announcing the bird is freed. and promising to loosen speech restrictions. even before yesterday s events many were fearful. according to critics, elon musk s takeover actually threatens free speech and could, quote, ruin america. and alienating users. in fact what twitter needs is more regulation, not less. and they had nothing on elon musk and asking, of course, is donald trump coming back. taylor lore rez tweeted this, it s like the gates of hell opened on this site. and then there was former president trump s own take on truth social. he said i m very happy that twitter now is in sane hands and will no longer be run by radical left maniacs that run our country. all of that after we learned that intruders on friday morning had broken into the house of nancy pelosi and attacked her 82-year-old husband paul. the alleged assail lent is now charged with attempted homicide with other crimes after reportedly attacking paul pelosi in his hom
come in and supply ukraine with so much money, and so many weapons. but this is a significant escalation from vladimir putin. the fact that he s calling up the reservists shows that he has no intention of backing away from this war. in fact, in his comments, he framed the war not against ukraine, he described this as a war against the west. and that the west, he didn t mention the united states, but clearly, that s the main power he s referring to, has been propping up ukraine and intends to bring down russia and bring down the russian federation the same way that the west primarily the united states, toppled the soviet union. so he is framing this very much as an existential fight for russia. and in order to fight this fight, he s calling up the reservists and making nuclear threats to show that he is serious and that he has no intention of backing down. so, richard, is there a sense this could lead to some sort of nuclear standoff? i think that is where this is heading.
