RAF Policeman Corporal Oliver Jinks and his comrades have bench-pressed the combined weight of the Red Arrows in an epic challenge for Cancer Research UK.
Cpl Jinksâ grandfather, David Blease, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2020 at the age of 71. The impact on Oli, 22, was massive and he immediately started organising an event to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Oli said: âIt was a Thursday evening and I got a call of my mum and she was in tears. I asked her what was up? And she said: âwe think your grandadâs got pancreatic cancer.â I just didnât want to accept it.â
