RAF Police team at RAF Wittering bench press the weight of the nine Red Arrows jets to help Cancer Research UK Published: 08:00, 16 December 2020 RAF Policeman Corporal Oliver Jinks and his comrades have bench-pressed the combined weight of the Red Arrows in an epic challenge for Cancer Research UK. Cpl Jinks’ grandfather, David Blease, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2020 at the age of 71. The impact on Oli, 22, was massive and he immediately started organising an event to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Oli said: “It was a Thursday evening and I got a call of my mum and she was in tears. I asked her what was up? And she said: ‘we think your grandad’s got pancreatic cancer.’ I just didn’t want to accept it.”
