Very loud noise. the lights went out. everything was black, very heavy smoke, debris piled on top of me so i m penned in my chair at my desk. as i came in to focuses a little closer this pile of debris i saw looked like a face, couldn t possibly be a live person and then i thought i saw it wink or blink. i yelled for help and from outside came lieutenant commander dave serentino. it felt like a furniace in there and couldn t believe anybody was alive and saw can t thomas trying to pull debris and i looked to my side and saw mr. henson about 10 feet away in this cave of debris. already, my uniform is starting to melt, my shoes are starting to melt. i m really eager for him to get out of there and go. he says he can t budge. out of desperation, i laid on my back underneath him and put my feet on the debris over his hand ....
