Great new image of the emerging Warrington Youth Zone

Being built in the Stadium Quarter, the youth zone neighbours Central Station and the bus station.
The building will offer more than 20 activities every evening for young people aged between seven and 19, up to 25 for those with a disability.
Dave McNicholl, chief executive of Warrington Youth Zone said: “It is great to see Warrington’s new Youth Zone is taking shape and I am pleased to report building work is progressing well. With an array of activities available, Warrington Youth Zone will provide new opportunities for thousands of young people. Warrington charity asks for support with Captain Tom's 100 challenge

Warrington Youth Club is calling on the local community to take part in the Captain Tom 100 challenge and help raise vital funds for its charity.
The 100 fundraising drive was launched in memory of the war veteran, who died in February, and in honour of his mammoth walking journey in April last year.
Participants are asked to come up with a challenge around the number 100, whether it’s 100 laps of the local park, flipping 100 pancakes or building 100 sandcastles and reach their target over the bank holiday weekend.
WYC has two volunteers – Finton and Willow Patterson – who will be raising funds for the charity’s Buddy Up scheme, which supports young people with additional needs aged between seven and 18 who are at risk of becoming socially isolated. ....

New firm pledges support for Warrington Youth Zone

Torus Foundation has pledged its support for young people in the town over the next four years and become a founder patron of Warrington Youth Zone.
The charitable arm of the regional growth and regeneration group Torus, which provides affordable housing for families, individuals and communities, will fund the centre’s annual running costs once it opens.
Warrington Youth Zone is currently under construction and will provide programmes, services and activities for young people aged between seven and 19, and up to aged 25 for those with additional needs.
Torus Foundation, which aims to provide opportunities that grow confidence and raise aspirations, is keen to support the centre, which will give young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. ....
