bacteria. news 4s michael george has the latest. reporter: some didn t have any idea until we told them the disease was found ntd cooling in the cooling tower. i didn t know it was in this hotel. so far, no one at the hotel has gotten sick. the cooling tower is being dis disinfected. we re taking all the steps to make sure the hotel is a safe place to stay. the outbreak is growing. 57 people have gotten sick and three have died. health experts are trying to track down the source. 17 buildings have cooling towers. three of them have tested positive. it s kind of scary because my mom suffers from asthma. now you have me a little bit worried. the three people who died were middle aged. it doesn t spread person to person. you can only get it from breathing in the bacteria. whatever s not atmosphere gets pulled into the cooling tower. there s a lot more dirt and debris. reporter: it s treatable with antibiotics if caught early. if you notice any symptoms, c ....
