DAVAO CITY – A local startup from Davao City will be developing a learning management system (LMS) that will help students and educators in conducting online learning and sharing educational resources.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the DOST XI said, the InfinIT LMS is a Learning Management System (LMS) platform designed by the Davao City-based information systems solutions provider, Advanced InfinIT Technology Solutions, Inc., that will help “students, teachers, and school administrators in monitoring student outcomes and curriculum effectiveness using OBE (Outcomes-Based Education) compliant data analytics.”
Advanced InfinIT Technology Solutions, Inc. operates under the UMasenso HUB, a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in the University of Mindanao (UM).

DAVAO CITY – A Davao City-based lawyer and her husband were shot by an unidentified suspect outside their home at Solariega Subdivision, Barangay Talomo, this city on Wednesday afternoon.
Capt. Rose Aguilar, spokesperson for Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said that the victims were identified as Atty. Hilda Mahinay and her husband, Muhaimen Mohammad Sapie, hosts of an online-based radio program “Justice Redeemer.”
According to its social media account, Justice Redeemer is an online free legal advice program, tackling “general legal issues” and an opinion-oriented political program, which is also aired over 94.7 Power Radio Davao (DXLL).
The two were gunned down at 5:10 p.m. when they came out of their residence shortly after their radio program, Aguilar said.

A MORE than 10-year-old Davao City-based software firm that has worked with big technology names such as Google, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Oracle, has recently been devoting extra time in hometown ventures to help small businesses and the local government pull through the pandemic.
“Many of us are trying to learn new skills to reenter the workplace after the crisis and a large number of businesses are also trying to reinvent themselves to stay afloat and survive,” John Naranjo, founder and chief executive officer of Ingenuity Software, Inc., said during an online forum hosted by the Davao City business chamber.
