They are mothers, veterans, and veterans federal courts are under attack. Since when is it okay to burn down a federal court . Is that okay now . No, the u. S. Dana and we have Fox Team Coverage for you. William la jeunesse is standing by in portland where he has been with federal agents. Lets go to the white house, chief correspondent john roberts. He is live on the north lawn. John, as we wait for this hearing to get underway again, with the big take away from the White House Point of view . Come from. I guess secondly, ill just point out real quick again i think laura coates really talked well about the questioning of the attorney general about the lack of africanamericans in this building. I think the leadership shows there is a lack of any such advice by the fact you see his opening remarks where he talks about blackonblack crime and the whole narrative that Police Reform should not be tackled right now because its leading to increased crime. Now, the last time we had a conversation about this after ferguson, you know, jim comey and other people went out and claimed there was something called a ferguson effect. Research showed it was bogus. Were beginning to see that again this year. I think the attorney general could use some challenging on that line of on that thought process as well. What would you like to hear him asked about regarding that . In his opening remarks he talks about how police are risk adverse and as a result theyre essentially not doing their jobs. I
The story that barr has tried to spin is that he just found another candidate to take that job. So they wanted to get Jeffrey Berman out of that job. But of course thats a process that takes several months. There is no reason that berman couldnt be left in that job until clayton was confirmed. The answer the attorney general tells basically it doesnt make any sense. I think its always looked like he was trying to get berman out of that office and put an acting official in. We dont know what the underlying reason was. We dont know if it was a specific case he wanted to impact or if it was general unhappiness with the way berman was managing that office in relation to a larger number of cases. But i would like to hear more delving into the attorney generals explanations for that firing, including why he lied in his initial statement saying that Jeffrey Berman had agreed to step down when that, in fact, was not the case. Joining me now is the host of meet the press, chuck todd, who will p
