The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday sealed six food points over the use of hazardous and prohibited ingredients along with violation of the coronavirus preventive standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the provincial capital.
PFA Director General (DG) Rafaqat Ali Naswana said that the production unit of Bhola Sweets was sealed by the food safety teams for using non-food graded colours and harmful chemicals in their products.

LAHORE:
The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed three slaughterhouses and several food businesses across the province on Sunday.
PFA officials carried out operation against food adulterators and sealed Noor Dera slaughterhouse for storing and selling unwholesome meat.
Similarly, PFA food safety teams sealed two more slaughterhouses in Ghoray Shah over non-compliance of food regulations.
The food safety teams also sealed Waheed Desi Food Factory for using unhygienic chemicals and non-food grade colours in preparation of various products. The premises and food production area were also swarming with insects.
