Mastek spurts after Q4 PAT rises 8% QoQ


Mastek jumped 6.34% to Rs 1620 after the company s net profit rose 7.7% to Rs 75.70 crore on a 9.1% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 483.2 crore in Q4 FY21 over Q3 FY21.
In dollar terms, the company s revenue from operations increased 7.5% (constant currency) to $65.9 million in the fourth quarter from $60.1 million in the third quarter in the financial year 2020-21.
Operating EBITDA rose 2% to Rs 106 crore in Q4 March 2021 from Rs 103.9 crore in Q3 December 2020. Operating EBITDA margin was at 21.9% as on 31 March 2021 as against 23.5% as on 31 December 2020.
The company added 45 new clients in Q4FY21. Total client count as of 31 March 2021 was 639 (LTM) as compared to 618 (LTM) in Q3FY21. ....

Indices near day's low; Mastek down 9%


The equity barometers were hovering near the day s low in mid-morning trade. The Nifty reclaimed 14,300 mark after slipping below that level. All the sectoral indices on the NSE were in the red. Metal, realty and pharma stocks witnessed steep selling pressure.
At 11:26 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, fell 267.53 points or 0.55% at 48,767.20. The Nifty 50 index declined 99.75 points or 0.69% at 14,333.55.
The broader market tumbled. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index tumbled 1.77% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index declined 1.78%.
The market breadth was weak. On the BSE, 706 shares rose and 2026 shares fell. A total of 137 shares were unchanged. ....

Sensex tumbles 470 pts on broader selloff; Nifty ends below 14,300


Benchmark indices ended with steep losses on Monday, extending fall for the second straight session. All the sectoral indices on NSE ended in red. Metal shares corrected sharply. Rising coronavirus cases across US, Europe and China weighed on investors sentiment.
The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, dropped 470.40 points or 0.96% to 48,564.27. The Nifty 50 index lost 152.40 points or 1.06% at 14,281.30.
Reliance Industries (up 2.37%), HDFC Bank (up 1.15%) and ITC (up 0.76%) supported the indices. Axis Bank (down 2.79%), Infosys (down 2.49%), HDFC (down 2.49%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.94%) dragged.
In the broader market, the BSE Mid-Cap index fell 2.01% and the BSE Small-Cap index lost 1.89%. Both the indices underperformed the benchmark indices. ....
