STEUBENVILLE The Sycamore Youth Center, 301 N. Fourth St., is finalizing plans to host this weekend’s Serve Ohio Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service/Celebration.
It will involve a community service day combined with an MLK birthday celebration and an evening online concert on Facebook “Live,” explained Bobbyjon Bauman, center director.
“We were able to secure a small grant from Serve Ohio from the state of Ohio to help cover our expenses for a service day event, and we are thrilled to have local minister Michael Jett of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Steubenville who started and currently leads the Generation Now youth ministry there be our speaker,” Bauman noted. ....
