LILY NICKEL CALCUTTA Beaver Local has named a full-time athletic director for next school year. The school board voted unanimously during their monthly meeting to approve the hiring of Robert Beam for next school year. Beam will be replacing Mike McKenzie, who has served as athletic director while being the high school’s assistant principal since 2018. Superintendent Eric Lowe said that having a full-time athletic director will allow for positive change in the district’s athletics. “We’re excited to have him on board, and I think having a full time athletic director will allow us to change some things,” Lowe said. ....
