Midnight on henry avenue near dupont street. You can see the damage to the front of the cab is extensive. The victim was taken to einstein where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The officers body was escorted from the hospital to the medical Examiners Office in a ambulance, this is the second Philadelphia Police officer killed this year, the first being Sergeant Robert wilson, third, he was shot and killed in march during a robbery in north philadelphia. Wilson was an officer with the 22nd district. Again, police say the officer was offduty when the crash happened and not on his way home from work at the time.
