The “Army Lady” turns 100 years old

Maj. Ret. Yolanda Minnehan, better known as “Tipi” after her maiden name, served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II.
Tipi celebrated her 100th birthday on December 23 with a parade, as family and friends drove through to offer their well-wishes from a safe distance.
Tipi originally lied about her height in order to enlist in the army, and went on to achieve the rank of Major.
