We especially want to shout out a big thank you to our sponsors: Cappy and Chichi Mayhew, 1020 Post, Darien Sport Shop, Barrett Bookstore, Inner Light Wellness, Four Forks, Michael Joseph’s, and Spa Grace. We appreciate your generous donations very much. Herren is a celebrated former professional basketball star and wellness advocate, on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Herren will take the audience on his journey from addiction to sobriety, sharing experiences that have impacted his life as a teenager, athlete and speaker. He will also address themes of gateway drugs, prescription drug use, vaping, the impact of COVID-19 and the responsibility of prevention starting with us all. To conclude the event, Herren will field live questions. Registration is free and required for this event at www.communityfunddarien.org. ....

Record numbers of our neighbors, almost a quarter of all Connecticut residents, are struggling to put food on the table. The need has never been greater, and our community rose to the challenge during this extraordinary November by sharing the harvest: an act that epitomizes the Thanksgiving tradition of expressing gratitude. Person-to-Person (P2P) wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who shared their bounty with others, particularly during this very difficult time for those we serve.
