Police: Man charged with driving a stolen car while under the influence of PCP in Hoboken

Hudson County View By John Heinis/Hudson County View Guilber Flores-Gonzalez, 29, of Jersey City, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (PCP), driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and having suspended licenses, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera. Additionally, his passenger, Juan Duarte, 27, of Jersey City, was charged with receiving stolen property. Yesterday at approximately 1:55 p.m., Sgt. Christopher LaBruno conducted a motor vehicle stop of a grey Honda CR-V in the area of 1024 Clinton St. Upon stopping the vehicle, dispatch informed officers on scene that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Union City.

(File photo) (Caren Lissner/Patch) HOBOKEN, NJ A Hoboken man and a Jersey City woman escaped without injuries Thursday afternoon after their paddleboat was hit by a wave, forcing them into the Hudson River. The Jersey City woman, 24, went out on a date with a Hoboken man, also 24, said Police Lt. Danilo Cabrera. They left from a small beach on the city s north waterfront, Maxwell Place Park Beach.

Food Deliveryman, 65, On Electric Bike Hospitalized In Hit-Run Hoboken Crash

Read / Add Comments A 65-year-old food deliveryman was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Friday afternoon in Hoboken, authorities said. The New York man was on an electric bike when he was struck by the vehicle possibly a blue Acura with partial registration number 20070 at the intersection of Observer Highway and Jackson Street around 3:15 p.m., Hoboken Police Dt. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said. The striking vehicle fled the scene of the accident and it was reported leaving southbound out of Hoboken, Cabrera said.  The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center by McCabe Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries and his family was notified, he said.
