More than 2,100 women are now in state legislatures across the country. smashing the previous record. and eight more states are closing in on majority women legislatures. reporter: i wonder what the men are thinking right now? i think they re thinking how they can get into the smoke filled room full of women now, right? reporter: what s your message to the men in the legislature? we re equally at the table, if not more of us there. we re here. we re not going away. so let s get to work. reporter: so much work to be done. danielle moreno, she came up through the foster care system and was adopted. her mother took her to a city council meeting when she thinks she was five or six. and she said at that age she looked around the room and realized the people making decisions were white men. well, no more. that is that image of the women sitting around in the
