A man is facing a string of firearms and police assault charges after allegedly shooting at a St Kilda backpackers hostel owned by underworld associate Danielle McGuire.
Ms McGuire, the former partner of underworld figures Tony Mokbel, Toby Mitchell and Mark Moran, was ordered to give evidence at a compulsory hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday, where details of the case against alleged Endeavour Hills shooter Morty El-Hassan, 26, were publicly revealed for the first time.
She told the court her daughter Brittany McGuire, formerly linked to murder accused Abdullah El Nasher, had arrived at Melbourne Hostel in St Kilda shortly after 6pm on September 1 upset and sporting a broken nose following an alleged assault.
