The new Hama Bachama, the paramount ruler of the Bwatiye (Bachama) people of Adamawa State, made a 10-page tightly written speech at his coronation on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Half the speech was about the things which trouble his mind as Governor Ahmadu Fintiri gave him his staff of office that day to lead a people who have always had probably more than their share of issues of insecurity and unsatisfactory pace of development.
“I am concerned about the increasing availability, affordability and rampant use and abuse of illicit substances, mainly alcohol, narcotic drugs, psychotropic and new psychoactive substances by mostly our young people,” the new Hama Bachama said. ....
