Wilder wins 2021 Quatrano Prize
Dani Wilder, a senior majoring in the biochemistry track of biology in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, has been awarded the 2021 Ralph S. Quatrano Prize.

Established through a generous donation by Katherine Day Reinleitner, the Quatrano Prize is awarded to the thesis showing the greatest evidence of creativity in design, research methodology or broader scientific implications. The award is given in honor of Ralph Quatrano, the Spencer T. Olin Professor Emeritus and former chair of biology.

December graduate leverages her experiences as both client and provider of disability resources to help local students

Remote learning is hard. Especially for children. Even more so for children with a disability.
“It’s too much to ask a child with an ADHD diagnosis to look at a screen for six hours and not get up,” said Dani Wilder, who is set to graduate this month with a degree in biology from Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. “These students need stimulation, to move between classes, to talk through questions and collaborate. We knew this before the COVID pandemic, but it’s become all too clear now.”
