San francisco is on the verge of becoming the first city in the nation to require fully paid family leave for new parents. Supervisors unanimously approved the measure today. It requires private employers pay 45 of salaries during the sixweek family leave. The state already covered the other 55 . When you combine them, new parents working in San Francisco will get full pay during family leave. Its already really hard without children to live in San Francisco. So if you have that extra pay, you can have a family and go back to work. Supervisors still have to take a second procedural vote next week. The new policy would take effect next year. Two buses carrying players were involved in an accident following their practice today at stanford. Happened at southbound 101 at ellis street south of moffitt field. The team was heading back to the hotel in santa clara when one bus ran into another and a chp motorcycle officer ran into one of the buses. The officer had minor injuries. The team says no one from the broncos was hurt. Outside linebacker Demarcus Ware tweeted the photo of players standing alongside their bus. Behind me here and we have seen dozens of people streaming out of here over the hours and so many people have are just angry frustrated upset not knowing what they were gonna find when their kids showed up when they came to get their kids. I should say taught to grandmothers talk to parents talk to one man in particular whos picking up his four year old daughter who said she was blissfully unaware of what was going on thankfully, but once you guys listen to some of what he said to me so i come at this time normally to pick up my daughter and the streets were closed off and the police said theyre gonna bring my just gonna cart everybody down the street and i just knew that was in the case. I heard about the shooting at the high school and my daughter to elementary school.
