The bright orange blobs are areas of increased activity. And this is the scan done after four hours sleep. Theres not much going on. Its pretty clear there is much less activity in these areas of the brain that we know are crucial for things like decision making, Problem Solving and memory. So, our 24 hour culture could be having a serious impact on society. Those signing up to the worlds biggest sleep study will help show the extent of the problem and reveal how much sleep we need for our brains to
