The Ogun State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, constituted an ad-hoc committee to investigate allegations against the Deputy Speaker, Hon Dare Kadiri, on alleged gross misconduct levelled against him.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Hon Olakunle Oluomo, announced the members of the committee at the plenary session held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Majority Leader of the House, Hon Yusuf Sheriff, is expected to serve as the Chairman, while Honourables Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye; Bolanle Ajayi; Adeyemi Ademuyiwa; Modupe Mujota as members while the Director of Committee of the Assembly, Mr Temitope Hokon, would serve as Secretary.

The Ogun House of Assembly, on Tuesday, set up a five-man committee to investigate allegations misconduct levelled against the Deputy Speaker, Dare Kadiri.
The committee was given 72 hours to submit its report.
Mr Damilola Soneye (APC-Obafemi Owode) moved the motion that the committee be set up during plenary in Abeokuta and was seconded by Sikirat Ajibola (APC-Ipokia).
The Speaker, Mr Olakunle Oluomo (APC-Ifo I), said that the committee was constituted after consulting with other principal officers, in line with House Order 7, Rule 10, to investigate the issues raised against the deputy speaker.

The Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, who announced this at the plenary on Thursday, said if the monarch fails to appear, the assembly would invoke section 129 of the 1999 Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Constitution (As Amended) by issuing of a warrant of arrest against him.
Oluomo said the third invitation extended to the monarch became imperative owing to two previous invitations already extended to him in the previous year which he failed to honour.
The assembly through its Committee on Lands and Housing led by Hon. Damilola Soneye had earlier summoned the monarch to explain allegations levelled against him.
Soneye and other lawmakers had earlier engaged concerned members of the community on their petition against the monarch who was expected to appear before the lawmakers on Thursday.
