Nine Luzerne County businesses have been cited for violating COVID-19 safety protocols, including a Harveys Lake restaurant that was previously accused of violations last summer, according to state police. ....
Harveys Lake police say they are directing complaints about a local restaurant remaining open in defiance of Gov. Tom Wolfâs closure order to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. In several recent Facebook posts, Damienâs on the Lake has advertised in-house events including steak night and a New Yearâs Eve party featuring the Lance Thomas Band. For the New Yearâs Eve event, one customer inquired whether the restaurant was offering outdoor dining. âItâs inside,â restaurant owner Damien Kaye responded. Under Wolfâs COVID-19 mitigation plan, indoor dining at restaurants is prohibited from Dec. 12 through Jan. 4. Kaye declined to comment when contacted Wednesday. ....
