Driver warns others after windshield shattered by ice

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Nikki Corner is asking others to remove snow off their vehicles.
Corner, from Caledonia, was driving on M-37 when an oncoming vehicle passed her. Moments later, a slab of ice and snow hit Corner s windshield. She estimates the slab measured three feet by four feet.
It damaged the windshield, the top of the vehicle, and the rearview mirror. The collision also sprayed glass inside the vehicle.
I really didn t think it was going to be that bad, said Corner. I expected it to make a noise and just poof into snow. [I] didn t expect the noise and the glass breakage. ....
