OCONTO – A Green Bay man is accused of leading police officers over a 30-mile, high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle from Oconto to a Howard supermarket. The chase began about 9:35 p.m. on Jan. 30, after Oconto Police Officer Brad Shearer came upon a westbound car that had stopped for extended period of time at the intersection of Doran Street and Pine Avenue at the south edge of the city. After the vehicle turned north onto Pine Avenue and pulled into a driveway, Shearer learned from a records check that car had been reported stolen in Green Bay and activated his lights and siren. ....

Oconto County Court: Felony charges filed in two domestic abuse cases OCONTO – Five felony charges were filed against an Oconto man over an alleged domestic battery incident July 1 in which a woman said she was punched dozens of times and suffered a broken wrist. Brody L. Tappa, 34, was charged on Oct. 21 and summoned to make his initial appearance in court on Nov. 22. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest after he did not appear in court. He was arrested Jan. 3 and appeared on Jan. 4, when his bond was set at $5,000 cash. According to the criminal complaint: The incident was first reported to police by Bellin Health Oconto Hospital the next morning, and the victim was interviewed after she was released. ....
