Class B Amateur Tournament Stays In Mitchell

Pierre, SD, USA / DRGNews Jan 12, 2021 3:31 PM MITCHELL – Instead of Sioux Falls, Cadwell Park in Mitchell will again be the site of the Class B amateur baseball tournament, scheduled this summer for August 4-15. South Dakota Amateur Baseball Association President Dale Weber said that Augustana University, which had been originally set to host the event at Ronken Field, declined to host the event. This means that Cadwell Field will host the tournament over five consecutive years.  Augustana was host in 2018, but the event was in Mitchell in 2019 and 2020 and will also be there in 2022 and 2023. -information from mitchellrepublic.com was used in this story-
