In an advisory issued on Saturday, the RDRRMC urged local authorities to continuously monitor for updates on this weather disturbance. "The tropical depression is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. DPWH Eastern Visayas Regional Director Allan Borromeo on Wednesday said the budget will finance 1,246 projects in six provinces of the region. "Some of the proposed projects tagged as priority are those under the 'Build, Build, Build' program of the present administration. These projects will largely contribute to the local and national development," Borromeo said in a statement. MGB Region 8 senior geologist Rodrigo Jay Miralles said the list of highly susceptible villages released on January 24 has been shared with local government units to facilitate planning activities. "This does not mean that the entire village (is) prone to flooding or landslide. There is only a certain part of the village that is at risk," Miralles said in a phone interview.
