CAMBRIDGE — The Federalsburg man convicted of second-degree murder in the April 2021 shooting death of 22-year-old Da’Jour Sorrell was sentenced Wednesday to 40 years in prison.

Four men charged with first-degree murder in Cambridge shooting
State police say four men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the early April shooting that left a Cambridge man dead.
Just before 10 a.m. on April 5, officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Gloria Richardson Circle, according to a Maryland State Police news release.
They arrived to find the victim, 22-year-old Da Jour Sorrell, lying on the ground. He d suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was asked to take over the investigation. Members of the Criminal Enforcement Division and crime scene technicians from the State Police Forensic Sciences Division also responded to the scene to aid investigators.
