Cyprus/NICOSIA 22/04/2021 14:47 Nine thousand COVID-19 vaccination appointments were set on Thursday morning by 47 and 48-year-olds through the vaccination portal in Cyprus.
The portal which has been open for that age group since 07:30 am (local time) will remain open until 20:00 this evening. The 9,000 appointments, 8,030 for the Pfizer vaccine and 970 for the AstraZeneca vaccine, were set by 09:30, reliable sources have told CNA.

CYPRUS/Nicosia 23/04/2021 10:28 The Cabinet is set to announce later on Friday a new set of measures to curb the COVID-19 spread in the community as the cases continue to rise and the situation in the hospitals is extremely alarming. The government will most probably decide to further tighten the current measures for 2-3 weeks. Very small relaxations might be announced for Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.
