âBlack Voters Matterâ bus stops in Tyler to raise awareness about elections, early voting Black Voters Matter Bus 10PM By Erin Wides | April 26, 2021 at 10:17 PM CDT - Updated April 26 at 10:19 PM TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The organization âBlack Voters Matterâ made a stop in Tyler on their âWe Got Powerâ campaign after Dr. Shirley McKellar, Tyler City Councilwoman District 3, contacted them. Co-founder Cliff Albright said they formed in 2016 and are now doing work in 15 states. âWe planned a whole bus tour last month to come and support them(bigger cities in Texas); in the midst of that this whole voter suppression issue came up.
