Cycle Patrol Unit introduced - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamilur Rehman on Saturday introduced ‘Cycle Patrol Unit’ in the city to develop friendly relations with residents.
A ceremony was held in this regard at Jinnah Avenue where the IGP was the chief guest. DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kousar, SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer, SSP (Traffic) Farrukh Rasheed, SP (City Zone) Umar Khan and other police officers besides traders, civil society members and notables were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said they had decided to launch ‘Cycle Patrolling’ in the area of Kohsar police station. A 10-member squad of cyclists would work under the direct supervision of ASP (Kohsar) Amna Baig in collaboration with Urban Platform and Cycling Association. ....

Islamabad: Inspector General Islamabad police, Qazi Jamilur Rehman on Saturday introduced ‘Cycle Patrol Unit’ in the city so as to approach community and development friendly relationships with the residents.
