Holmes County CAUV renewal forms mailed

Auditor Jackie McKee of Holmes County recently announced that Current Agricultural Use Value renewal forms have been mailed. 
Stamped envelopes have been provided to mail the completed renewal. They can also be emailed to [email protected]. Forms will be returned if they are not completed entirely. 
CAUV applications are to be filed with the county auditor’s office prior to the first Monday in March, postmarked by Feb. 27. Applications must be renewed yearly, and annual renewals are free. There is a $25 initial filing fee per application. 
The auditor will be required to value the property at its market value and recoup the tax savings for the past three years if forms are not received by the deadline. ....
