Christmas in July returns to the Philadelphia region with plenty of special events and activities for the whole family to enjoy, even in the brutal heat. Residents can head to Rothman Orthopaedic Roller Rink in Dilworth Park to hang out with a sun-kissed Santa, shop for early gifts at Human Robot Brewery in Jenkintown, listen to a holiday opera at Cooper River Park, indulge in festive dinners from Philly chefs at River Twice, take photos with Santa at the Philadelphia Zoo and drink discounted holiday beers at Philly's Victory Brewing Co. taproom.
Laurel, the East Passyunk restaurant known for its tasting menu, is taking over In the Valley, the wine bar next door. Both establishments are run by Top Chef winner Nicholas Elmi. As part of the expansion, Laurel is switching to a la carte dining when it reopens April 5. It currently is undergoing renovations.
