Natick Cultural Council announces 29 grants COURTESY OF NATICK CULTURAL COUNCIL NATICK Natick Cultural Council recently announced the awarding of 29 grants totaling $14,613, for cultural programs in Natick. Some of the grant recipients include Natick Historical Society, Voices of MetroWest and Natick Public Elementary Schools. The Natick Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community. Statewide, more than $3.3 million will be distributed by local cultural councils in 2021. ....
North Andover awarded 18 cultural grants North Andover is getting more than $11,000 in grants for cultural programs. Anna Choi, chair of the North Andover Cultural Council, and Select Board member Janice Phillips recently announced 18 grants being awarded to North Andover by the Mass Cultural Council. The North Andover Cultural Council is part of a vast network of 329 Local Cultural Councils in Massachusetts. The LCC program raises money and support for community-based arts, science and humanities projects every year. Specific recipients are chosen by local cultural councils. The members of the North Andover Cultural Council are Choi, Brian Middleton-Cox, Stephanie Aude, Wendy Smith and Brooke Paige. ....
Hudson programs awarded $14K in grants Community Content HUDSON Massachusetts state Rep. Kate Hogan and state Sen. James Eldridge along with Patricia Luoto and Donna Specian, co-chairs of the Hudson Cultural Council, recently announced the award of 10 grants totaling $14,300 for cultural programs in Hudson and the surrounding area. There were 16 grant application requests, totaling $16,305 to be considered. Some of this year s grant recipients include The Discovery Museum, Assabet Valley Camera Club, Hudson Division of Recreation, Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce, Hudson Cultural Alliance, Symphony Pro Musica, Hudson Public Library, and River s Edge Arts Alliance.
