The Ukrainian government has withdrawn a bill on reforming Ukraine’s conscription system in response to concerns raised by the Anti-Corruption Committee, said MP Oleksiy Honcharenko during an interview with Radio NV on Jan. 11.
On Jan. 11, the Verkhovna Rada may consider in the first reading an extensive government bill on mobilization, which aims to regulate issues such as conscription age, demobilization, conscription service, and more, according to an NV source.
On. Feb. 24, 2022, the Ukrainian government implemented a general mobilization for all men aged between 18 and 60, who are now considered liable for military service and can be drafted. As part of the mobilization process, individuals undergo a Military Medical Commission (MMC) at territorial recruitment centers or civilian institutions or hospitals to determine their fitness for service.
