In the back corner of the second floor, mirrored mylar spills out onto the wooden walkway. Inside, the small music studio is wallpapered in silver and Luis “The Genie” Monterrosa wears a glossy reflective suit to match, his long dreadlocks poking out behind a mask that looks like a cross between recently deceased rapper MF DOOM’s signature faceplate and a cheese grater.
