HARKERS ISLAND — Cape Lookout National Seashore, in collaboration with the Crystal Coast Stargazers, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Island Express Ferry Service, invites the public to Discover the Night
Cape Lookout National Seashore, a 56-mile stretch of natural barrier islands, is one of the few places you can see the Milky Way without a telescope and has the only Dark Sky National Park on the Atlantic Coast.
Cape Lookout National Seashore has been certified as a Dark Sky Place, the first in the National Park Service on the Atlantic coast to receive this certification.
